How 9 Time Wasters Affect Your Life Productivity

Waiting For Inspiration

According to Wikipedia, “Inspiration” is an unconscious burst of creativity in a literary, musical, or other artistic endeavors. The concept has origins in both Hellenism and Hebraism. The Greeks believed that inspiration or “enthusiasm” came from the muses, as well as the gods Apollo and Dionysus. Inspiration from the above definition comes from within not something you wait for. It is something that comes unconsciously when you are engaged with things like music, arts, etc. Sometimes, it comes from the people around you, your environment and the things you see.

Stop waiting for inspiration, Find it!

Fretting about the appraisal of other people

Have you noticed that worrying never get anything done, instead it slows the progress of anything down? Now, if you would agree with me that there was/is a particular time in your life that you worried so much about what people would say about your relationship with that person or about your outfit or about the way you live your life and so forth.

Fretting about the appraisal of other people is a time waster because no matter what you do, how you do it or who you did it for, people will always talk and they will keep talking.

Quit listening to whatever other people say and start listening to your heart.

Complaining about everything

There is an adage that says “change what you can and accept what you cannot change”. Quit complaining about everything. Learn to appreciate things that you cannot change and strive to change things that need to be changed or that which you can change.

Change is constant and evitable but you must learn to accept and appreciate the things that you cannot change.

See this: Appreciative.

Quit being an Ingrate and Be grateful!

Trying to please everybody

If you want to succeed in life, you must quit being a people pleaser. You can never please everybody. Trying to please everybody is like running in an endless circle. You will only end up losing yourself and your time.

Know your worth and stick to it.

Comparing yourself to other people

This happens when you have low self-esteem and not confident of yourself. When you listen to other people’s opinions by trying to please everybody.

Love yourself and Know your worth.

Repeating the same mistakes

Mistakes are meant to be a lesson, not life imprisonment. It is okay to make mistakes but don’t make it a habit, learn from it and move on.

Don’t dwell in your mistakes. Learn from it and move on!

The fear of failure

The fear of fear has deprived a lot of so many people. They tend to forget that failure is a stepping stone to success. If you were never a failure, you never anything successful. For there is no success without failure as the game of success involves risk and in taking a risk, you either win or learn.

It is okay to fall but don’t remain on the ground.

Not living your life

Live your life. Make mistakes, learn from your failures, try smarter and come out stronger. Life doesn’t have to always be a bed of roses but that is there to make you better, stronger and smarter.
