First of all, let’s discuss about what sweat really is… Sweating is a natural process that helps regulate the body’s internal temperature, especially during exercise or hot weather. As sweat evaporates from the surface of your skin, it removes excess heat and helps to cool the body. Unfortunately, this natural function is sometimes complicated by medical conditions that cause excessive sweating.


Sweat in the armpits can be frustrating and unsightly, but knowing how to control the situation will keep you dry and confident. Deodorants only mask the smell of sweat, so if you really want to stop sweating, you will need to take active measures to treat the gland in the armpit region.


Learn to use topical antiperspirants the right way, as well as make lifestyle changes that can affect underarm sweating and opt for more vigorous medical alternatives that you may find at your disposal.


Make your own natural deodorants

Some recent studies have linked aluminum-based antiperspirant products with breast cancer and other health problems. While the subject is debated, it is understandable that many people feel more comfortable using more natural products in their body.

There are completely natural commercial deodorants, but you can also create your own to control the sweat produced in the armpits.

1.   Mix equally baking soda and water to create a paste that controls the sweat, put it in your armpits and let it sit for about 20-30 minutes. After that time, rinse the mixture with water.


2.  With a cotton used apple vinegar in your armpits (they must be clean before doing it); This will create a drying effect on the armpits which will condition them to sweat less and keep you dry, this will also help neutralize the smell in the armpits.


3.   Make a mixture with the juice of a lemon and the pulp of a tomato before going to sleep. Attach it to your armpits and let it sit for 15 minutes. Then remove the mixture with water.

How to make a homemade antiperspirant deodorant?

Many times commercial deodorants only remove the smell but do not stop sweating. To prevent the secretion of sweat you need an antiperspirant. The following recipe does both:


1/4 cup of baking soda.

1/4 cup cornstarch.

6-8 tablespoons of virgin and unrefined coconut oil.

Essential oil of your favorite aroma (optional).


Mix the baking soda with the cornstarch. Add the coconut oil and beat well. It is poured into a container and cooled to make it solid.

It is used as a deodorant under the arms. But do not apply if you have just shaved because it can irritate your skin.

Some people only apply deodorant before going out or before dressing. If your armpits are already sweaty, it means that you do nothing to control the smell or sweat. First you need to clean your armpits.

If you have noticed that you are sweaty, do not apply any product on the sweat, as it will do nothing to control the odors. Instead you need to wash your armpits with soap and water, try to refresh yourself and then apply fresh products to the armpits.
